On the morning of May 27th, a delegation led by Shi Jun, vice president of North Carolina Wesleyan University in the United States, visited our university. Xu Zhonglin, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president, met with the delegation. The two parties held a project negotiation meeting in the conference room on the second floor of the Administration Building. Liu Liheng, member of the Party Committee and vice-president, attended the meeting. External Cooperation and Exchange Centre and relevant secondary schools attended it too.

  Xu Zhonglin warmly welcomed the visit of Shi Jun and her delegation, hoping that through this exchange activity, we can promote exchanges and cooperation with the North Carolina Global Classroom Alliance on a larger scale, in a wider field, and at a deeper level. Together, we can build a more open and dynamic higher education community, contribute wisdom and strength to deepen international exchanges and cooperation, promote cultural exchange and mutual learning, and build a community with a shared future for mankind.

  At the meeting, Liu Liheng introduced our history and characteristics, and reviewed the fruitful exchanges and cooperation with American universities, which have established deep friendships. He pointed out that applied undergraduate university such as Xinyu University should strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, actively utilize high-quality international educational resources, absorb and learn from the advanced theories of foreign applied universities, thus provide more opportunities for teachers and students and enhance the ability to serve the local society. He holds that the two sides, with the vision of “to development through exchange, to create prospectus through cooperation”, will be able to form mutual learning and common understanding and achieve a win-win cooperation based on the actual needs of teachers and students.

  Shi Jun illustrated the current situation of education in North Carolina and the results of cooperation between universities in China and Wesleyan University together with other members of the North Carolina Global Classroom Alliance. She said that after listening to Vice President Liu's introduction, it could be seen that the exchanges and cooperation between Xinyu University and American colleges and universities were fruitful, and she also hoped that this visit to Xinyu University could open a new chapter of mutual cooperation.
