UT Permia Basin conducted summer cohort in middle July

  As response to the major initiative of inviting 50,000 American teenagers to study and exchange in China in the next five years, a delegation of five teachers and students from University of Texas Permian Basin conducted on summer cohort on July 13 and 14. With this cohort, they are to appreciate intangible cultural heritage, learn from mutual experiences in university-enterprise cooperation, and embark on a journey of cultural friendship between Chinese and American youth.

  On July 13, they visited the library of Xinyu University, the school photovoltaic power station, Jiangxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Solar Cell New Materials and Applications, Organic Solar Cell Laboratory, and Perovskite Cell Key Materials Laboratory. After the visit, a symposium between Chinese and American teachers and students was held in the conference room of School of New Energy Science and Engineering.

  The next day, they visited the Lithium Battery Power Battery Production Line at Ganfeng LiEnergy, Xinyu New Materials Technology Research Institute, LDK Photovoltaic Monocrystalline Silicon Wafer, Polycrystalline Silicon Wafer Panel Production Line, and Xiabu Embroidery Museum. The American students were full of curiosity and interest in the industrialization of intangible cultural heritage, new energy, and new materials. They observed and asked questions constantly, and the teacher explained and answered them one by one. The atmosphere on site was very lively, and the visit came to an end with reluctance.
