Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Nepal visited for educational cooperation
On the morning of November 13, Keshar Jung Baral, Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University in Nepal, Binod Joshi, Executive Director of Center for International Relations, Balaram Duwal, Acting Director of the Confucius Institute, Rajman Maharjan, Admin Officer of Vice Chancellor Office, and Abatar Subedi visited the university. Wu Fukang, Secretary of the Party Committee, met with the guests. President Xu Zhonglin attended the symposium. Liu Liheng, Vice President, chaired the symposium.
At the meeting, Wu Fukang first warmly welcomed Vice Chancellor Keshar Jung Baral and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation of Xinyu University. He said that the friendly relations between China and Nepal and the people are developing well. As an important country along the the Belt and Road, Nepal is an important partner of our university in foreign exchanges. He stated that Xinyu University and Tribhuvan University have a good foundation for cooperation. There is great potential for both sides to promote academic exchanges, educational cooperation, and other fields.
At the symposium, Xu Zhonglin thanked Keshar Jung Baral for his contribution to the Chinese and overseas students during his visiting scholar in the 2017-2018 academic year, briefly introduced our international cooperation and exchanges, and stated that our university has once again joined hands with Tribhuvan University to strengthen communication, enhance understanding, and work together to open up a deeper, broader, and more extensive cooperation upon the practical cooperation foundation in the past 10 years.
Keshar Jung Baral expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of our university, briefly introduced the history and situation of Tribhuvan University, reviewed the cooperation between Tribhuvan University and Xinyu University over the past decade, and hoped to further broaden the cooperation fields between the two sides through this exchange, establish cooperative relationships in multiple fields, strengthen scientific research cooperation and talent exchange, complement each other's advantages, and develop together.
After that, the two universities signed Memorandum of Understanding and exchanged gifts.
